THE PASTOR

Here To Guide You

Rev. Barbara H. Jamieson

A NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

I believe that God meets us in all the places we show up -- in joy, in struggle, and in everyday life. I bring together tradition and tenderness, Scripture, and storytelling, always pointing towards a God who is full of grace.

I envision our church as a church of all people -- no matter where they have been or where they are -- as they are able to meet God in a real and personal way. Guided by the light of Christ, may they be open to seek this place of belonging, compassion, and hope in this neighborhood and beyond.

My ministry is rooted in compassion and connection, from preaching, visitation, and writing, to simply showing up for people in meaningful ways. Whether leading worship, writing a personal prayer, or sitting beside someone in a hard moment, I believe in helping people meet God right where they are.

Favorite Scriptures:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." -- John 1: 1

"Be still and know that I am God." -- Psalm 46: 10

Favorite Hymn:

"When in Our Music God is Glorified" --  United Methodist Hymnal #68

Grace and Peace,
